Volunteers Welcome for Hunt Tests

The Spring AKC Spaniel Hunt Test is this weekend at Rebel Ridge in Elkton. There are a few spots open that need to be filled with volunteers to help out at the test. Please send me an email (marshal@mdsportingdog.org) to volunteer or with any questions you might have or to offer to help out. We do on the job training and provide lunch. Worker’s raffle prizes include $25 gift certificate to Gun Dog Supply, free entry for a training day (including birds), sport dog fleece blanket and more!

Spaniel HT Entries Closing Tuesday

Entries close next Tuesday, April 25 for MSDA’s Spring AKC Spaniel Hunt Tests on Saturday & Sunday, May 6-7 at Rebel Ridge Farms in Elkton, MD. Premium List and entries are via https://huntsecretary.com/eventinfo_A.asp?mhuntid=1005608. Registrations are currently full, but there is a waitlist option and several dogs have already moved into the event from the waitlist. If, before closing, after closing, or anytime up to the start of the hunt test, there are entries that withdraw or scratch, MSDA can take dogs from the waiting list to run in the position of the absent dogs. Dogs called up from the waiting list shall be prioritized in the order the waiting list entries were received.

Spring Spaniel Hunt Tests are almost full

If you’re interested in entering MSDA’s May 2023 Spaniel Hunt Test, but are holding off for some reason because entries don’t close until Tuesday, April 25, you may want to take another look. We currently have 31 entries each day, and we are capped at 35. Although MSDA will form a waitlist if needed, we won’t be adding judges or increasing the entry limit. Volunteers and Raffle prizes for Spring Hunt Tests

It’s getting closer…the MSDA Spring AKC Spaniel Hunting Tests are right around the corner! Come to Rebel Ridge on May 6-7 to watch those flushing dogs do their thing. We could still use some volunteers to help out with the tests. There are some fine items to be had including gift certificates from Gun Dog Supply! If you are doing some spring cleaning and find some items you think might be useful, bring them to the next Training Day.
