Next Training Day for Flushing Dogs is June 10
The next Training Day for Flushing Dogs of 2023 is planned for Saturday, June 10 beginning at 8:30 am. It will be held at Mt. Ararat Farm in Port Deposit, Maryland. This training session is going to focus on land work quartering/finding/flushing/retrieving and hunt dead. Registration opens for MSDA members on Thursday, May 25 at 8 am ET. Registration opens to all on Tuesday, May 30 at 8 am. Registration closes at 5 pm on Friday, June 2. If the Training Day fills up, registration may close earlier.
March Training Day was a Success
MSDA’s Flushing Dog Training Day on Friday, March 24 was another successful session. 13 dogs representing 10 different sporting breeds got together and had some fun working chukar. Many thanks to The Royal United Company for providing the birds and the hunting grounds, and to Jared Ash for lending a hand as an extra gunner (and bringing his 11 week old Pudelpointer puppy to play). Matthew Toth, a photographer, was also on hand and got some great shots – this photo is one of Steve Roth’s English Cocker Spaniels showing off its flushing style for the cameras again.
